OPTEC® PL-999
High-quality stabilizer for face-mixes in exposed aggregate
Product Description
OPTEC® PL-999 is used for the production of face-mixes for exposed aggregate and is successfully used in precast elements and in the manufacture of concrete slabs. Further applications include the machine washing of paver blocks and slabs as well as the stabilization of lightweight concrete mixes.
Mode of Action
Due to the strong plasticizing effect of OPTEC® PL-999 an even distribution of the aggregates is achieved in the matrix, even with short vibration times. The stabilizing components reduce the tendency to segregate effectively, in particular when using coarser aggregates. The surface-active substances of OPTEC® PL-999 improve the dispersability of the cement gel and allow a reduction of the watercement-ratio.
Dosing and Special Information
OPTEC® PL-999 is added with the gauging water, however, it may also be dosed directly onto the aggregates.
Preliminary tests according to official national standards are always required before use!
