Concrete Admixture for the Production of Low-Pore Concrete

Product Description
OPTEC® 960 is used for the production of prefabricated concrete products, where a low-pore concrete is needed. Fields of application, for example, are the production of exposed concrete and washed, sandblasted, or polished concrete surfaces.

Mode of Action
OPTEC® 960 increases concrete density by reducing the air content of the concrete. The effectiveness of OPTEC® 960 depends on the dosage and the concrete mix design.
It is only at higher dosages that OPTEC® 960 has a plasticizing effect.
Dosing and Special Information
OPTEC® 960 should always be stirred prior to use!
OPTEC® 960 may separate if not stirred for a long period of time; however, this does not impact product performance, provided sufficient pre-mixing is performed to homogenize the product.
The product can be added with the gauging water or to the pre- mixed concrete.
Preliminary tests according to national standards are always required before use.
OPTEC® 960 has no negative impact on dosing equipment.
At very high dosages OPTEC® 960 can have a retarding effect.
